Collection and Use of Personal Information

Information You Provide:
- When setting up a home configuration through MyToucheHome app, we may collect a variety of home-related information such as:
- names for your home, zones, rooms, accessories, actions, and scenes
- a simplified representation of your home topology (e.g. your home has a ground floor and a 1st floor, and the ground floor is composed of a kitchen and a living room, etc…)
- accessories you associated to it
- actions and scenes you may define and schedule (e.g turn off the lights, lock all the doors, etc…)
- the name or email address of the users with whom you share access to your home configuration
These information are exclusively used to provide you home configuration and home automation services as defined by you.
- When you contact us, we may collect a variety of information, including your name, email address, mailing address, and phone number. These information are used to provide you customer support.
Information We Receive From Your Use of Our Services:
- We may collect information regarding customer activities on our website. This information is used to help us provide more useful information to our customers and to better understand the demographics of our audience.
Cookies and Other Technologies
You can remove or block cookies using the settings in your browser, but in some cases that may impact your ability to use some of our Services.
Advertisers and partners of our website’s host may also set cookies through our pages. For more information, please see the section 'Third‑Party Sites and Services'.
Disclosure to Third Parties
We will not share your personal information with third parties, except in the limited circumstances provided below.
MyTouchHome app is exclusively designed to provide home configuration and home automation services for Licensed HomeKit Accessories. We certify to not use the HomeKit APIs for any purpose other than interfacing, communicating, interoperating with or otherwise controlling a Licensed HomeKit Accessory or for using the HomeKit Database, and then only for home configuration and home automation purposes in connection with our app (e.g., not for serving advertising).
You may opt to share a home configuration and associated home automation services with family or friends. If you opt so, the home-related personal information mentioned above will be shared with these people.
It may be necessary − by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities within or outside your country of residence − for us to disclose your personal information. We may also disclose information about you if we determine that for purposes of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary or appropriate.
We may also disclose information about you if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions or protect our operations or users. Additionally, in the event of a reorganization, merger, or sale we may transfer any and all personal information we collect to the relevant third party.
Protection of Personal Information
MyTouchHome app use information obtained from the HomeKit APIs and the HomeKit Database only on an iOS Product and do not export, remotely access or transfer such information off a device.
We are in no way responsible for the protection of data stored in the HomeKit Database. You an Apple are solely responsible for such information in said database. Please review Apple’s applicable policies before granting the app access to your HomeKit Database.
When you share a home configuration and associated home automation services with family or friends, the home-related personal information mentioned above are visible to them and can be collected, or used by them. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to share. Please take care when using this feature.
For other personal information related to our website or customer support, we use generally accepted industry standards, technologies and procedures, such as firewalls, security software, etc…, in order to protect the integrity of your personal data and prevent any unauthorized access. However, no system can be 100% secure and despite our efforts, there is always a risk of unauthorized access to your personal data. By using our Services, you assume this risk.
Integrity and Retention of Personal Information
MyTouchHome app cannot read from or write to the HomeKit Database unless you give it explicit permission to do so. At anytime you can remove this permission by turning off the HomeKit service for the app at Settings > Privacy > HomeKit. You can also remove all the data saved into the HomeKit Database by resetting your HomeKit configuration if you want.
Our website is not intended for children under 13. We do not intentionally gather personal data from visitors who are under the age of 13. If a child under 13 submits personal data to us and we learn that the personal data is the information of a child under 13, we will attempt to delete the information as soon as possible. If you believe that we might have any personal data from a child under 13, please contact us.
Third‑Party Sites and Services
Our website may contain advertisements or links to third-party websites, products, and services. Information collected by third parties, which may include such things as location data or contact details, is governed by their privacy practices. We encourage you to learn about the privacy practices of those third parties.
Changes to this Policy
This Policy is also available from the app settings. Please check it regularly at each app update, for any possible update.
All such communications are examined and replies issued where appropriate as soon as possible. If you are unsatisfied with the reply received, you may refer your complaint to the relevant regulator in your jurisdiction.
